Communication, culture, and creative communities make up Shazeb’s areas of play since his late teenage years. More than a career, he’s passionately pursued these as a way of life and lifelong learning.

 

Shazeb’s the common link and mind behind India’s only experimental artist residency program in the Himalayas and Ladakh, India’s first international art-science festival series in Goa, India’s first urban subcultural experiment that started in an apartment in Mumbai and went on to host an edition across the city of Basel (Switzerland). 

 

In 2022, Shazeb shifted his professional and philosophical focus from experimental practices across human endeavour, to land and environmental art - using the canonical art practice as a medium to deepen the relationship between humans and nature in the anthropocene. He’s currently developing Environmental Art Exchange (EAE), a winning proposal under Pro Helvetia’s international To-Gather grant, into a platform for the general public to connect with environmental actors, their content, and live experiences, curated from the world over. 

 

With a very wide set of passions and experiences that were created in their unlikely pursuits, Shazeb is most comfortable with dealing with all kinds of ‘new’ - he loves finding new ways through new ideas to explore uncharted territories where I can leave a meaningful mark behind.
